I turned predictive text off on every phone I've ever had. It's just a pain in the apse. However, these guys seem to have it down scu.

it took me ages to FIND how to shut the damn thing off on both of my cellphones. I didn't realise it was there until it interfered with an attempted text to my friend Steve. I would key in S-t-e (so far so good), then when I tried to enter "v", it would convert it to "www." Not even on the same keys. drove me bezuggy.

Spell checking on the iPhone is a little weird sometimes as well. It suggests duck when you write fuck, but it's easy to fix by just creating a contact entry with the word fuck in it.

oh, is that how u get the iphone to register new words? i realise that it doesn't pick up words u use often, unlike the nokia t9 system.
