...and tell me that this is satire.

I was shocked to see a graphic I designed used as a banner ad throughout that site (the ad for mylasikdoc.com).

I don't seem to be seeing any banner ads...firefox must be blocking 'em. That being said, stealing that kind of work is not very nice.

I wouldn't call it stealing. New England Eye Center paid for me to design it, so I'm sure they can use it for whatever they want.

Is this thing on the level then, or is this do it yourself eye surgery a spoof? I guess you're the only expert on this I would know...

I have no idea. I'm very skeptical, and I was going to contact my surgeon at New England Eye Center to find out. Then I saw their ad at the bottom of every page, save the first one, and thought, "Maybe they know and approve." But I'm only speculating. I had nothing to do with the do-it-at-home group.

I should think it would be dangerous, if it fell into the wrong hands and someone else other than the designated patient used it.

I think it's a spoof.

If it's a spoof, it's an amazingly complex one. Seems like it must be, but why would someone go to that amount of trouble? The amusement level seems insufficient to the work.

The amusement level seems insufficient to the work.

Sadly, that's true of a whole buncha things nowadays.
