I like a drop occasionally—very occasionally. Bourbon is my favourite tipple nowadays, but I ration myself to a very occasional drink as spirits can play havoc with your blood sugar levels (paradoxically, I gather they can send you into a low blood sugar state rather than, as I had naïvely assumed, send your blood sugar into the stratosphere).

However, this whisky is on a par with Kopi Luwak. If you are eating or perhaps enjoying a dram while surfing your Live Journal friends list, best to move along to the next journal now, before discovering from what the whisky is (in part) made.

I wonder what the big idea behind calling it a single-malt is, when clearly it's a blend.

This could give new meaning to "getting pissed"!
