Getting rid of Outlook
Aug. 12th, 2008 10:40 pmI'm getting used to Vista, and have now come across another difficult problem. I use Eudora for email, but when (in Vista) I click on a "mailto" command, it tries to configure Outlook.
I am going to try to uninstall Outlook, but after that I am hoping that Vista will relent and let me "mailto" through Eudora.
Anyone else solved this problem? Am I barking up the right tree?

Date: 2008-08-13 10:46 am (UTC)Vista has decided in its wisdom that Eudora is not a fit email program, so it doesn't list it as one. I will look and see whether Firefox allows me to specify a default email client...

Does the above help?

Date: 2008-08-15 09:10 am (UTC)Now I've gotten it to the point where it will open Eudora, but will not start a new email and put the address with the "mailto" command into the "To" box of the new email. I'll have it licked yet...
