When they cut so much flesh off your foot, it hurts further up the foot and leg, so I needed to rest in bed to regain strength and let the pain subside. I am not in hospital. I will put any further intervention off until after I am installed as Worshipful Master of my Lodge next week. Thanks for your concern. I'm still getting a shot in the bot each day and taking metronidazole.

You never mentioned cutting of flesh recently. Was it because the ulcer wasn't healing? Is your family coming for the installation?

I had my normal visit to the foot clinic yesterday. There were parts of the ulcer that weren't looking too good so they cut them off. They gave me more antibiotic and sent me home. The ulcer is not healing but now I am optimistic that it will start. I am just hoping that it will be well on the way by the time my brother gets here in a week's time for my installation in a week and a half.
