In Singapore, OCBC Bank advertised that they would give you a cake on your birthday and have the staff sing "Happy Birthday" to you. When you advertise something like that, you do have to pony up when a customer comes in on his or her birthday and asks for a cake. But here's what happened when someone took them up on the deal.

ok, maybe im missing it. I saw the ad, I read the post.
Funny. BUT the ad never says they give you a cake. It looks like that one time they did something nice for that one customer. It did say its our pleasure to server you... but not its our pleasure to serve you cake.
I like the whole situation, its funny as hell just thinking of how they scrambled, but I don't think they were supposed to give him a cake.
