Definitely a hottie in the 'early '00's alterna-pop band' mold. Jointed wrists and ankles, too, which is nice.
But it looks like his hair is molded plastic, which is a bad choice. Hair play is a big draw for Barbie-type dolls, very tactile and soothing and almost trance-inducing; seems like having the kids doing something like that while having the doll spout verses would be ideal for effective indoctrination.
If this were a decade ago, I'd be nuts to have this doll.
everything you suggest for Our Lady of the Pink Flamingoes causes me to break that pesky commandment against coveting(*), but this one is particularly attractive.
(*)much as seeing fj's icon above of the Pink Hello Kitty Laptop has me in covet-mode; even though I know that the one-and-only PHKL is living happily in the Ithaca area.
I wonder if the actual doll has a speaker good enough to give Jeezuz that deep-down-sincere voice that was on the infomercial? I wonder how he'd look in GIJoe's camoflage pants? Is he anatomically correct?
Not only is Jeezuz poseable, "the fingers move to hold objects" (0:50 in the commercial) -- now if I mistake me not, that's a rosary that's being pressed into his paws. Why would jeezuz be praying to his mama to pray to him?
And not only that, he's got an authentic linen robe. none of this ersatz stuff. Clearly this Jeezuz doll is Quality Thru-N-Thru.
