while not exactly an advance for Western Civilisation, this gentleman's demonic possession is principally hurting himself.

If I wuz to expend energy saving anyone from demonic possession, I'd do so in the instances when the demonically driven individual is actually doing significant damage to innocent bystanders - Peter Jasper Akinola, for instance.
